City of North Little Rock

This project was really just a bit of fun that we couldn’t stop thinking about. Inspired by Allen Peters at Peters Design Co., we rebranded our city identity to update it for a new era.

The original design was based on the “Old Mill”, which is North Little Rock’s most well-known historical landmark, as it was seen in the opening credits of the 1939 film Gone with the Wind.

We decided to take that design and expand on it. We re-designed the wheel, and added water beneath it, both to signify the actual function of the grist mill wheel, and to provide a visual connection to the Arkansas River, which separates Little Rock from North Little Rock, and serves as the backdrop for downtown North Little Rock’s entertainment district.

We would love to see North Little Rock embrace this new visual identity across the board.
